FLYING STAR: A SAILBOAT'S STORY - I started
out to write about my experiences sailing to Hawaii from San Francisco following the route of the Single-Handed Transpac Race,
but the story kept growing until it included the building of my boat, Flying Star, in Taiwan; her tragic first trip out of
the protected harbor of Keelung; her trip to America; and all the fun we had once she got here. I didn't expect to write so
much about this boat, but I'm glad I did. I love sailing and sailboats and traveling, and I enjoy sharing that joy with others.
